Personal Information means personally identifiable information such as information you provide via forms or other online fields, including name, email addresses, telephone, fax, or mobile numbers, as well as records associated with your credit profile.
How your Personal Information is used
We collect and store on our database the information that you submit to use during your membership, including but not limited to the Sign-Up stage. To make our web services easier to use, CRB Website allows you to create a “Client ID” so that at any time, you may access your personal information and track your progress through the Client Portal. The system does this by saving your information and assigning you a Client ID. Your personal information is required to service your account. The information we require is the absolute minimum necessary. CRB uses your personal data to ensure that you are kept in constant contact with real-time campaigns. We keep you updated on the latest feature updates, special offers, and any other information necessary to fulfill our obligation to you as our client. In order to fulfill our obligation to you, we do share your personal information with staff employees of CRB so that your services may be effectively and timely performed.
How We Share Your Information
We may sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your name, address, city, town, any form or online contact identifier, email, and phone number. We share your information with other companies who provide us with services to help promote our content via email and text alerts, as well as with reputable companies who may be able to offer you assistance.
We may disclose your Personal Information to other companies that help us correspond with you.
We may disclose or report your Personal Information when we believe, in good faith, that the disclosure is required or permitted under law, for example, to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities or to resolve consumer disputes.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website or mobile application of any change in ownership or uses of your Personal Information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your Personal Information.
How we safeguard your Personal Information
CRB safeguards the security of your personal data. We take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet visiting our Website or mobile application. CRB advises you to change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure browser. Our Website uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. This protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card or checking account information while it is transmitted over the Internet. Within CRB, we restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know the information in order to perform their jobs, such as servicing your accounts, providing you with information you request, or notifying you of new products and services. To protect your Personal Information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in keeping with industry standards and practices, and we review and adjust these safeguards regularly in response to advances in technology.
How anonymous information is collected and used
When you browse CRB’s Website, you are able to do so anonymously. We do not collect personal information when you browse. However, we do have a mechanism that tracks pages visited as well as location data, logs and other communication data, and information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type. When you are using our mobile application, we may similarly track these items as well as mobile network provider and geographic location.
Tracking Mechanisms and Deletion of Cookies
Our Website and our mobile application uses some of the most secure forms of online communication available, including data encryption, transmission encryption, user names, and passwords. These technologies provide an elevated level of security and privacy when you access your account information, initiate online transactions, or send secure messages.
We use a variety of online technologies, such as cookies, web beacons, and similar mechanisms, as described further below, to collect information that helps us understand how our website and our mobile application are used. Specifically, when you visit CRB’s online, our third-party service providers or we may automatically collect a variety of technical and navigational information about you via these technologies, including your computer or device type; operating system version; browser type and version; user agent string; internet connection type; mobile network provider; date and time of your visit; time since your last visit; pages you view; links you click; searches you conduct; the internet protocol (IP) address used to access our website or mobile application; your general geographic location (e.g., your city, state, or zip code); and the website visited before our site. We also may use similar tracking technologies in emails that we or third parties send to you, as further described below. This information may be used, for example, to alert you to software compatibility issues or to resolve technical or service problems. We also analyze this information, with the assistance of our service providers, to improve our website and mobile application design and functionality, enhance our ability to serve you and your accounts, and tailor our communications to you regarding our products and services.
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that is stored on your computer, tablet, mobile phone, or other device when you visit a website or a mobile application. Cookies contain information that is transferred to or read on your device and allow websites and mobile applications to recognize devices and store certain information, such as user preferences. Cookies are used to distinguish you from other users of our online services. This helps us to provide you with a useful experience when you browse and also allows us to improve our online services. Our third-party service providers and we use session cookies, which link your actions during a particular online session and expire at the end of that session, as well as persistent cookies, which remain on your device and allow us to remember your actions or preferences across multiple sessions.
Our Website, our mobile application, and the emails that you receive from CRB may use an application known as a web beacon (also known as a pixel tag or clear gif). A web beacon is a tiny transparent image embedded in a web or mobile application page or an email to measure usage and activity. In some cases, a web beacon triggers the placement of a persistent cookie on your device.
Our service providers and we may use web beacons and cookies to determine whether and when you receive and open our emails; these beacons and cookies may also capture information about the type of device, operating system, email program, and web browser used to view the email, the IP address from which you opened the email, and whether you click any links in the email. These technologies enable us to gauge the effectiveness, relevance, and value of our email communications, as well as to target relevant advertising to you and to measure the impact of that advertising.
California Do Not Track Disclosures
How do we respond to Web browser “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services?
