2009
While working on an affordable housing development in New York, founder and CEO Jason Kaplan saw prospective buyers struggling to qualify for mortgages and facing less favorable terms, because of their credit.
Jason is an attorney, so when his buyers started hitting the same walls, he did what lawyers do: he taught himself how the credit system worked and began to teach his clients, too.
That experience exposed a much bigger problem: millions of consumers were making important financial decisions without a clear understanding of how credit affected their options.
That became the foundation for The Credit Pros.

Since then, The Credit Pros has helped more than 1 million people improve their credit, move closer to their goals of home ownership, vehicle ownership, and entrepreneurship, and develop healthy financial habits for long-term success.
