How to whitelist us

If our email is landing in spam, or not landing at all, telling your mail provider that we are wanted takes about a minute. Here is how to do it in the common mail apps.

First, the part that works everywhere

Do these two things before anything else. In most cases they are enough on their own.

  1. Find the message in your spam or junk folder and mark it as not spam. Every mail provider has this, and it is the single strongest signal you can give yours. Deleting the message instead teaches it nothing.
  2. Add the sender to your contacts or address book. Use the address the message actually arrived from. It is on the From line at the top of the message. That is the address to allow, whatever it turns out to be.

If you want to allow an address before we have written to you, the published one is info@thecreditpros.com. Mail from us may also arrive from another address at thecreditpros.com, so allowing the whole domain is worth doing where your mail app lets you.

Step by step, by mail app

Menu names move around. If what you see does not match exactly, look for the words “not spam”, “safe senders” or “filters”. Those have been stable.

Gmail

  1. Open Spam in the left sidebar. If you cannot see it, click More.
  2. Open the message and choose Report not spam. Gmail moves it to your inbox.
  3. Hover over the sender name at the top of the message and add them to your contacts.
  4. The most reliable step, if you want it: go to Settings, then See all settings, then Filters and Blocked Addresses. Create a new filter with the address in the From box and tick Never send it to Spam.

Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live

  1. Open Junk Email, select the message, and choose Not junk.
  2. Go to Settings, then Mail, then Junk email.
  3. Under Safe senders and domains, add the address or the domain, and save.

Outlook, the desktop app

  1. Right-click the message, choose Junk, then Never Block Sender.
  2. To add an address without having a message to right-click: choose Junk, then Junk E-mail Options, then the Safe Senders tab, then Add.
  3. Newer versions of Outlook for Windows use the same settings as Outlook.com rather than their own. If the menus above are not there, follow the Outlook.com steps instead.

Apple Mail and iCloud Mail

  1. In iCloud Mail on the web, open Junk, select the message, and choose Not Junk.
  2. On an iPhone or iPad, move the message out of Junk, then tap the sender address and add it to your contacts.
  3. In iCloud Mail settings you can also add a rule that moves mail from that address straight to your inbox.

Yahoo Mail

  1. Open Spam, select the message, and choose Not Spam.
  2. Add the sender to your contacts.
  3. For something more permanent, go to Settings, then More Settings, then Filters, and add a filter that matches the sender address and delivers it to your inbox.

A work or school address

  1. Mail is usually filtered by your organization before it ever reaches your mailbox, and nothing you change in your own settings overrides that.
  2. Ask whoever looks after your email to allow the address, or give us a personal address instead. You can change the address we have for you by calling.

Still not arriving?

It is worth checking that the address we have for you is the one you are watching. Call (800) 411-3050 or write to info@thecreditpros.com and we will check it and resend whatever you were expecting. You can also use the contact form.
